யோனா என்றால் *புறா* என்று அர்த்தம்.. 

1. Chapter 1..அதி 1

Jonah (dove) without proper understanding God's will..

யோனா (புறா ) தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தை சரியாக புரிந்து கொள்ளவில்லை.. 

எப்பிராயீம் *பேதையான புறாவைப்போல் இருக்கிறான்* ;, அவனுக்குப் புத்தியில்லை, எகிப்தியனைக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அசீரியனிடத்துக்கும் போகிறார்கள். 

ஓசியா 7:11

Ephraim also is like a silly *dove without heart:* they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

2. Chapter 2..அதி 2

Jonah (dove) with trembling about God's will..

யோனா (புறா ) தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தை சரியாக புரியாமல் பயந்து நடுங்குகிறான்.. 

 எகிப்திலிருந்து குருவிகளைப்போலவும்,அசீரியா தேசத்திலிருந்து *புறாக்களைப்போலவும் பயந்து* வருவார்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர்களை அவர்கள் வீடுகளில் குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார். 

ஓசியா 11:11

They shall *tremble as* a bird out of Egypt, and as a *dove* out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.

3. Chapter 3..அதி 3

Jonah (dove) sent again to complete God's will..

யோனா (புறா ) தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தை மறுபடியும் நிறைவேற்ற அனுப்பப்படுகிறான்.

பின்பு பூமியின்மேல் ஜலம் குறைந்து போயிற்றோ என்று அறியும்படி, ஒரு புறாவைத் தன்னிடத்திலிருந்து வெளியே விட்டான். 

ஆதியாகமம் 8:8

 பூமியின்மீதெங்கும் ஜலம் இருந்தபடியால், அந்தப் புறா தன் உள்ளங்கால் வைத்து, இளைப்பாற இடம் காணாமல், திரும்பிப் பேழையிலே அவனிடத்தில் வந்தது. அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டி அதைப் பிடித்துத் தன்னிடமாகப் பேழைக்குள் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டான். 

ஆதியாகமம் 8:9

பின்னும் ஏழுநாள் பொறுத்து, *மறுபடியும் புறாவைப் பேழையிலிருந்து வெளியே விட்டான்.*

Also *He sent forth a dove from him,* to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; 

Genesis 8:8

But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then He put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

4. Chapter 4..அதி 4

Jonah (dove) mourning again against God's will..

யோனா (புறா ) தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தை அறியாமல் புலம்புகிறான்.

 நமுட்டைப்போலும், தகைவிலான் குருவியைப்போலும் கூவினேன், *புறாவைப்போல் புலம்பினேன்* , என் கண்கள் உயரப் பார்க்கிறதினால் பூத்துப்போயின, கர்த்தாவே, ஒடுங்கிப்போகிறேன், என் காரியத்தை மேற்போட்டுக் கொள்ளும் என்றேன். 

ஏசாயா 38:14

Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: *I did mourn as a dove:* mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me. 

Isaiah 38:14

Think a while.. சற்று சிந்திப்போம்..

 *அப்படியானால், மனுஷனே, தேவனோடு எதிர்த்துத் தர்க்கிக்கிற நீ யார்?* உருவாக்கப்பட்ட வஸ்து உருவாக்கினவனை நோக்கி: நீ என்னை ஏன் இப்படி உண்டாக்கினாயென்று சொல்லலாமா? 

ரோமர் 9:20

Nay but, O man, *who art thou that repliest against God?* Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
